" I will not run for Governor ". This was revealed by Mayor Cris Mahilac of Sinacaban, Misamis Occidental amid the rumors escalated that he is set to go against incumbent Governor Hermie Ramiro of Misamis Occidental this coming 2016 national and local elections.

Interviewed by MBC, Mahilac said that he would continue to implement the programs and projects that his administration had been started after winning the race last 2013 election against former Mayor Dello Lood.

He stressed that even he's just in his first term and the 2016 election is fast approaching, but he was able to respond to the needs of the people .

He narrated that most of the barangay roads in Sinacaban has been concreted and he wants to complete it in the next years to come if given another chance to lead the municipality.

Aside from that, Sinacaban have acquired new ambulance PNP Mobile car firetruck and most importantly, he was granted to put up a Land Bank Satellite office .

" I will continue to serve the people of Sinacaban dahil na feel ko ang nararamdaman ng mga mahihirap kasi akoy galing sa pamilyang mahirap." Mahilac said.

He added, that he has no personal interest in joining the political race but only to share his blessings to the people of Sinacaban

" Wala akong personal interest nong sumali ako sa politika gahil hindi man ako magpapakamatay dito.Bumalik ako dito ( Sinacaban ) upang makatulong sa mga kababayan kong umangat sila sa buhay" Mahilac added.

The Mayor concluded, that everyone should work hard and be determined in whatever wishes they have in life because while there is life there is hope at the end of the race!
