A Local Coalition of parties in the second district of Misamis Occidental has been forged after a series of meetings amidst the humors that one candidate will run against the other in the 2016 elections.
The Liberal Party, NUP, and NP have decided to unite themselves in order to maintain the harmony and unity for a better Misamis Occidental
During the Proclamation of candidates held at Bethany Gardens today, all the mayors in the two cities of Ozamiz and Tangub together with the five municipal mayors of Bonifacio, Clarin, Don Victoriano, Sinacaban and Tudela openly expressed their support to continue the unity for a progressive and better district in the coming years.
Misamis Occidental Governor Hermie Ramiro said, that she came to a point that she wanted to surrender and let some leaders in her province to decide of their own when there was a pressure coming from her mayors and other personalities.
But she was happy when everything has been put in place as a gesture of humbleness in favor of peoples interest.
" Sa tinuoray lang miabot sa point nga gusto na kong mosurrender ug ingon na ko nga bahala na sila akong mga anak!" But Im happy that everybody was cooperating after a series of meetings." Ramiro quipped.
Mayor Aldong Parojinog of Ozamiz added, that he was having a sleepless nights patching up things in order not to break the unity that they have started in 2013. He even openly declared before the leaders and the media in the province that the decision made by Board Member David Navarro is a gesture of humbleness and a favor that he would always remember and be treasured for the rest of his life."
"Dunay mga panahon nga dili ko katulog, kay siging meeting aron lang dili ta maguba. ug napasalamat ko kinasing kasing sa desisyon ni BOard Member David Navarro nga siya nagpa ubos ug kini nga desisyon nga iyang gihimo dili nako hikalmitan sa tibuok nakong kinabuhi" Parojinog stressed.
For his part, Tangub City Mayor Philip Tan shared that every time that he could received information about the movement of the politics in the district, he would always pray.
Indeed he's happy because truly it was the power of prayer that ironed everything so that the unity they have started will continue for a better and progressive Misamis Occidental.
" Daghang panahon nga kon unsay akong madunggan,. mag ampo ko nga unta dili lang modayon si mayor, kinsa ngalan ang mogawas ampo na pod ko nga malamgan aron dili lang gyod mabungkag ug magpasalamat ko kay ang Ginuo ang tanan naghimo ani." Tan said.
While Congressman Henry Oaminal revealed, that he was so stressed in the past days because of the challenges that the group had received but he was thankful that everybody was humble enough to listen every details to maintain the unity for a progressive and better district and province.
" Pasalamat ko nga ang tanan nagpa ubos ug wala ta mabungkag ug ang anan naminaw sa unsay angayang himuon alang sa kalamboan sa atong distrito ug sa Probinsiya." Oaminal added
Earlier, Ozamiz City Vice Mayor NOva Princess Parojinog Echavez, emotionally shared during her opening remarks, that what they have experienced in the recent days were a test of how strong they are and how they handled that challenges they've met.
" I m happy that everything was fine and put in place to achieve a better district and a better Misamis Occidental" Echavez concluded.
To recall, humors were spread that Echavez would run against incumbent Congessman Henry Oaminal of the second district and Board Member David Navarro would run against incumbent Vice Governor Aurora Vigninia" Jeje" Almonte.
But the leaders after their meetings came up with a decision to have a status quo.
